This is a little forum game for us to play. Its quite a simple game. Each person will post a single sentence that makes sense with the previous one. In the end what gets created is a story. I’ll start with my first sentence.
The server over heated again!
So I tried to cool it down with a beach towel because the air conditioning had also failed and I couldn’t find a fan.
Turns out the Beach Towel wasn’t damp enough, and it proceeded to catch on fire!
The junior of course broke all the protocols coming in to the data center anyways, and used his water bottle to put out the fire.
We proceeded to pull the plugs on the servers to mitigate the damage, but then….
Someone opened the comms room door and let in a load of Oxygen causing a large backdraft on an already mature fire…
The IT director decided it was time to trigger the Halon fire suppression system manually….

Whilst the fire burned through the fibre connecting the core switches

we then realised that the UPS they were connected to had a burnt battery only after they kept rebooting at every UPS self test…
phenomlab by this point, the company executives were beginning to get a little worried with the current state of the server room
